I’m Jon. I work as an editor. I've edited hundreds of films and videos for online, film, and TV, including a prime-time BBC 1 documentary and short films featured in festivals worldwide.

In the past, I've worked as a camera operator, director, and producer, which means I understand the entire filmmaking process.

I know how to tell a story and how to collaborate effectively to bring it to life in the edit. I always strive to bring a reassuring and positive approach to my work.

I also have versatile technical skills; I've been using Premiere Pro and After Effects for over 15 years.

REMOTE EDITING

I typically work from my home edit-suite in Yorkshire, using Premiere Pro. I have access to superfast broadband and terabytes of storage space with cloud backup to ensure the safety of your footage.

I use a combination of live-streamed editing for supervised edit sessions and Frame.io to collect timecoded feedback.

With extensive experience in production, I can design an efficient workflow tailored to each project.

COLOUR GRADING

As well as offline edit, I can undertake colour-grading and audio mixing for film projects.

This makes your footage look it's best, and contributes to the mood and tone of each scene.
